Biography of Gail Golden, MBA, Ph.D.
Senior Advisor
As a psychologist and consultant for over twenty-five years, Gail Golden she has developed deep expertise in helping businesses build better leaders and navigate rapid change. Her experience as an entrepreneur, business owner, and consultant to senior leaders of both Fortune 1000 and non-profit organizations informs her approach to accelerating the development of senior leaders and their organizations.
Gail has served as a consultant to the CEOs and C-suite executives of dozens of organizations across many industries, combining her psychological insights with her business expertise to help senior business leaders lead their organizations to peak performance.
Gail was the Founder and Chief Psychologist of Golden Psychology Services in London, Ontario, where she supervised a team of mental health professionals who provided psychological assessments, treatment, and consultation to organizations. She served on the faculty of The University of Western Ontario, teaching in the departments of Psychology and Family Medicine. She was a consultant for an international management psychology firm from 2003-2009 and founded Gail Golden Consulting, LLC, in 2009. Gail teaches at the Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago.

Gail has extensive experience as a public speaker, and media commentator. She has been quoted in Fast Company, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Today's Chicago Woman, Crain’s Chicago Business, The Chicago Tribune, and numerous other publications. She wrote a column, “Shrink Rap,” for the London, Ontario Free Press. Gail has developed and led workshops in corporate settings on a variety of topics, including building a culture of innovation, managing conflict, and developing high performance teams.
Education and Certifications
Gail received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Chicago, her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Indiana University, and her MBA from The University of Western Ontario. She is a licensed psychologist in Illinois.
Board and Volunteer Activities
Gail serves on the Women’s Board of the University of Chicago and has been a Mentor for the Leadership Circle of The Executives’ Club of Chicago.
