Biography of David Spitulnik
Senior Advisor

David Spitulnik is a catalyst for change who has worked with companies, both as an executive and an advisor, to advance ideas from concept to successful execution.  His more than 35 years experience includes leadership roles in both large, multi-national firms and in consulting to and leadership of mid-market and closely held businesses across a variety of industries.

David’s consulting practice focuses on developing and implementing strategies that drive transformation, growth, diversification and value creation. This involves working with organizations to define where they want to go, committing their plan to writing, defining the metrics and timeframe for execution, and coaching the teams and leaders charged with executing the plan.  An important element of designing planning processes with clients has been to develop procedures for evaluation of opportunities not in the existing plan.  Selected assignment results include:

  • Reenergized and revitalized client planning processes leading to reduced product offerings combined with increased overall revenues for a major industrial products distributor;

  • Reduction in operating expenses by 15% and in overall G&A by 10% for a $30 million manufacturer; and

  • Development of a succession planning process for a multi-generational, family owned business.

David has also worked extensively with companies to lead and advise on domestic and international merger, acquisition, divestiture and joint venture activity. He has led and executed over 30 global transactions ranging in size from $10 million to $250 million
